Posted 11-28-07
Tremonton Utah—A 15-passenger van carrying 10 Utah State University Agriculture students and their instructor rolled several times on southbound I-80 near Tremonton around 4:00 p.m. today. Seven of the passengers were reported dead on scene, and the remaining four were taken to neighboring hospitals.
According to Luetenant Jason Jensen, who was the first officer on scene, speed was definitely a factor in this accident.
Kyle Holden was traveling in a separate car with the group and said that he had passed the van right before the accident occurred. Holden told us that he saw smoke coming from one of the tires, like a tire had blown out, which is an expected cause of the crash.
Noel Cocket, who is the dean of the agriculture department at Utah State had this to say, "This is one of the best classes we have ever had, some of them are married, some have children, this is going to be hard to get through.

Bill And Teds African Journey
POSTED: Nov. 14, 2007 10:10 a.m.
Logan, Utah-- Bill Gates and Ted Turner were seen getting off of a private jet together earlier today in Abuja, Nigeria. This visit to Africa comes as a result of several meetings and phone conversations with African officials regarding a healthcare education project in Nigeria and other countries in Africa, according to Mayor Malik Ok of Abuja. An officail announcement on the project, according to Gates, will come within the next month.
Speculation over the visits suggests that The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Ted Turner are planning on funding a project to help educate the African people. "We just don’t have the funds to educate our people", Mayor Ok said, when asked about Gates and Turners contributions he described them as very generous individuals.
The general plan as described by Ok is to build more educational facilities to educate his people on healthcare topics so that less people die from diseases in Africa. The education Ok says is "Not for degrees but for health, too many infants are dying.
Warren Buffett is also a large contributor to the project.

Palo-Alto, California—Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG and LSE: GGEA) has officially made a hostile takeover bid involving the purchase of Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX), for a sum of 60 billion dollars in debt, cash, and stocks.
This offer came "out of the blue", as Time Warner CEO Richard D. Parsons stated today. As far as Time Warner accepting the offer, Parsons explained that Time Warner will need to do a lot of their own analysis to determine their decision, but that they are interested in negotiation. Parsons expects Time Warners full decision to take a couple of months.
Dr. Eric Schmidt CEO and chairman of Google told us that their offer had overpriced the actual value of Time Warner by 10 billion dollars. The 60 billion dollar offer would consist of 10 billion in cash, 45 billion in stocks, and 5 billion in assumed debt. In response to why Google was so interested in this acquisition Schmidt stated," we have relied on consumer production of our content", citing the popular Youtube as an example, and added "We have no content production of our own, Time Warner does.
Industry analyst Paul Kim told us, “I think Time Warner would be foolish not to accept Googles offer”. Kim stated that Time Warners stock is inflated right now and with the extra 10 billion dollars on top of that value, it would be unwise for Time Warner not to accept. Weather or not the Federal Communications Commission will allow such a takeover, is yet to be seen. Kim also cited the merger between AOL LLC., and Time Warner in 2001 as being unsuccessful and said when rferring to the Google offer, “This could be another match made in heaven that goes to hell, but I don’t think so”.
