Gettysburg PA-- President Abraham Lincoln spoke today at the dedication of the Gettysburg Cemetery, the site of the largest battle within the civil war. President Lincoln spoke of the origin of our nation, and the things the nation has always stood for, which are what he says we need to go forward from this war (see attached copy of the address).

At a press conference held shortly after his address, President Lincoln spoke confidently with reporters about his address. The words the President spoke today he feels were divinely inspired, in that he wrote the speech in a single draft with very few corrections, like he was "guided by God", as he put it. " I have always believed that this is a God created nation", the president said, "It’s humbling to be the leader of this nation at this time".

When asked if he felt the war was coming to a close, President Lincoln responded that he feels very confident that in a manner of weeks the war will be over. He also added, "It will take a long time to recover, but we can do it".

Very good. Kind of on the short side. You didn't mention the actual speech that was on one of the following pages. Very good over all

Good job combining parts of the speech with the interview. Your story flowed well.

I like what you put together here. The only shaky part for me was the second line in the second paragraph. It was a tough sentence for me to follow, and I think it would have been more easily understood if you had worded it differently.

I think you did a very good job with your story because for me it was hard to make the story long without using the speech . You did an amazing job with using questions and answers after the soeech.
